Popiah Make Easy
Ingredients:
Combine:
150g plain flour
1 tbsp sago flour
¼ tsp salt
300ml water
1 egg lightly beaten
Filling:
250g yam bean (shredded)
1piece dried bean curd (diced)
250g bean sprout (blanched
Roasted peanuts (grounded)
Some chili and sweet sauce
To prepare
the fillings:
Heat 1 tbsp oil. Add in yam bean, bean curd and bean sprout. Fry
till cooked.
Dish up and keep aside.
To make the crepe:
Shift the combined flour and salt ingredients into a mixing bowl.
Add the egg and mix in water. Use a hand whisk to mix well to form a
batter. Add a little more water if the batter is too thick.
Heat a non-stick pan over medium flame. Pour in enough batter to
make a thin crepe. Cook until crepe is slightly light brown then
flip over and cook the other side.
Remove crepe to a plate, add a spoonful of filling. Add grounded
peanuts and some chili sauce. Fold in the sides and roll up the
popiah neatly.
